Acceptable Use Policy

Smalltown Boy Cat makes short AI-generated videos from photos you upload. This policy says what you may not make with it, how content is checked and how to report a video. It is part of our Terms of Service.

What Smalltown Boy Cat is for

Fun, harmless videos of your own pets, or of yourself and friends who agreed to be in the video.

Prohibited content

You may not upload photos for, or make, videos that contain or involve:

  • sexual, pornographic or sexually suggestive content;
  • violence, gore, self-harm or threats;
  • hate speech, harassment or content that demeans people for who they are;
  • anyone under 18, or anything that sexualises or endangers children;
  • deepfakes: real people who have not agreed to it, celebrities or public figures, or impersonating anyone;
  • content that infringes copyright, trademarks or other rights, such as photos you do not have the right to use.

How videos are made and checked

You do not write prompts. Every video follows a fixed routine that we wrote, and is generated with Seedance 2.5 by ByteDance. Before a video starts, every photo goes through an automatic safety check: a refused photo is deleted, no credit is used, and you can pick another. After a refused photo, the next try asks for a quick human check; repeated refusals pause video making for a while, and a refusal that may involve a minor pauses the account until we review it. Generated videos also pass through the model provider's safety system, which refuses prohibited content. We also review every video that is reported to us.

AI-generated content

Every video made on Smalltown Boy Cat is generated by AI and is labelled as AI-generated on the site. Do not present it as real footage of real events.

Enforcement

If you break this policy, we may delete the video and your photos and block the email you paid with. Credits used for prohibited content are not refunded. Content involving minors is reported to the authorities.

Report a video

To report a video made with Smalltown Boy Cat, email support@smalltowncatai.com with a link or a description. We review reports as soon as we can, usually within 3 business days. An intimate image of a real person shared without their consent is removed within 48 hours of a valid report.
