Smalltown Boy Cat

How to Make the Smalltown Boy Dance with Your Own Cat

Your cat takes the close-up. Another dances behind. Then they swap.

To make it with your own cat, choose Pets, upload a clear photo of Cat A, add Cat B if you have a second cat, and pick a scene. The routine is already set up, so you do not need to write a prompt.

Two photos, one real example. These AI-made portraits were the inputs for the Living room video below. This is a two-photo example; with one photo, we add a fictional partner.

The ginger cat opens in the foreground. After the cut, the grey tabby takes the close-up while the ginger cat moves behind. Follow their coat colors through the swap, then watch the low-angle finish.

The Maine Coon takes the first close-up, and the black-and-white cat takes the next. The indoor background changes the setting while keeping the two roles. Compare the faces and fur with the portraits as you watch.

The two input portraits were made with AI for this example. The video was then generated from those portraits using the Living room scene.

Make your own cat dance in four steps

  1. Choose Pets and assign A and B

Open the generator and select Pets. Cat A takes the first close-up, with its mouth open in a scream. Cat B dances in the background, then takes the next close-up. Upload one cat per photo. With one cat, fill A and leave B empty for a fictional partner.

  2. Pick the setting

The two examples above use Fence and Living room. Choose the background in the generator before paying. Your input images supply the cats' appearance, not the room or garden behind them.

  3. Choose a pack and start the video

Pay once and enter your email at checkout. No account setup or prompt writing is needed. Generation usually takes about 10 to 15 minutes; this is an estimate. Keep the page open or use the link we email when your video is ready.

  4. Check the result, download and add sound

Watch past the first close-up. Check each cat after the swap, look for changes to markings or paws, and watch the ending. Download the MP4, then add an available Smalltown Boy sound inside TikTok, Reels or Shorts. Sound availability and permitted use depend on the platform and your account.

Choose a photo that makes your cat easy to recognize

Use an original, well-lit photo with one cat facing the camera and its face clearly visible. Avoid screenshots, heavy filters, tiny faces, and paws or objects covering the face. Two cats with different coats are easier to tell apart in the result.

The fence example pairs a ginger cat with a grey tabby. The indoor example pairs a long-haired Maine Coon with a black-and-white cat. These give you recognizable features to follow as the performers change places.

What to check after the role swap

Compare both close-ups with the inputs, especially the face shape, coat color and markings. Watch the background cat too. AI can redraw details or change anatomy between shots, even when the opening frame looks convincing. A good first frame alone does not tell you how the full clip turned out.

What does a cat dance cost?

One video uses one credit. These are the site's USD pack prices, with a one-time payment and no subscription.

1 video
$7.99 USD
3 videos
$20.99 USD
5 videos
$32.99 USD

Check the pricing page and checkout for your currency and final amount. There is no free generation on this site.

If generation fails, you get the credit back automatically so you can try again. That is a credit return, not an automatic cash refund. A pack can be refunded within 7 days of purchase if none of its credits have been used; see the terms.

Before you upload

Can I make the dance with just one cat photo?

Yes. In Pets, add your cat as Cat A and leave Cat B empty. The generator adds a fictional dancer cat. To feature two cats of your own, upload one photo in each slot. Both examples on this page use two inputs; they do not demonstrate the single-photo option.

Will it look exactly like my cat?

That is not guaranteed. The photos guide the appearance, but AI can change markings, faces, paws or expressions between shots. Check both close-ups and the final shots before sharing. These two selected examples show possible results, not a measured success rate.

Is this a template that puts dancing cats over my photo?

The generator uses your photos as references for the performers in a new video. It does not simply place a finished cat clip over your uploaded image. The scene you choose supplies the setting; your photo's background is not preserved.

Can I use dogs or people?

Use domestic cat photos in Pets. Dogs and other animals are not supported by this routine and may be redrawn as cats or fail. For two consenting people, choose People on the generator and add one photo of each person. People requires two photos; no celebrities or anyone under 18.

Does the video include the Smalltown Boy song?

No. The MP4 is silent, including the examples here. Add a sound available to your account in the app where you post. Smalltown Boy Cat is independent and is not affiliated with Bronski Beat or the trend's original creators.

How long are my photos and videos kept?

Uploaded photos are deleted after 7 days and generated videos after 30 days. Download a copy of any video you want to keep. See the privacy policy for how photos are processed.
